November Income and Expenses report 2018

The trouble with a budget is that it’s hard to fill up one hole without digging another.

– DAN BENNETT

It seems like it really wasn’t that long since I posted the October one of these! We’ve had a shake up with our budgets in the hope that they are easier to stick to and we have estimated how much we would have left to save if we actually hit our budgets! I’m not sure the run up to Christmas is the best time to do this but hey ho here we go!

Income November 2018

Remember this doesn’t include side hustles as it has its own little report for now since we are putting our focus towards them.

Expenses November 2018

Some explaining is required around last months expenses:

Food and Household
I’ve gotten back into the habit of splitting them up again which would be really useful if we weren’t buying LLMF Christmas presents……

Fun

Going out has been replaced by fun for no other reason than I don’t want you all thinking we are dirty stop outs! Nothing really exciting was bought  for me as I purchase a  protein shaker for me but I did also buy Mr Fire’s Christmas present.

Other

Mr Fire had a spectacular motorbike accident (or at least it would have been if he hadn’t been the one injured) no broken bones thankfully but a very scary 24 hours in a trauma unit. Of course the bike needed a bit of care and attention along with Mr Fire.

Littlest Little Miss Fire

A bit of a major spender isn’t she really? I think we need to introduce her to FIRE quick! The youngest one seems to be on a never ending growth spurt and required new clothes AGAIN! She also needs more this month EEKKK!

Woo Hoo as you can see we actually had a little bit of extra money spare! Whilst we would love to add it to the mortgage over payments unfortunately my car insurance is due in January and its really high so it will have to sit somewhere until needed for that.

How was your income and expenses for November? I’d love to know so leave a comment or tweet or email me!

  1. I think you made a mistake: the variations for HouseHold is +0.67 🙂 (sorry, a quality engineer here)

Otherwise I really admire the correctness and discipline to keep the budget under control – I am more superficial than you, so you have all my admirations.
